This is our story
1980-89
Thunderpole I, II & III
It all started with the Thunderpole I homebase antenna way back in 1982. This antenna was very popular, however when the updated Thunderpole II was introduced in 1984 this was a true game changer and many people to this day will remember using this classic antenna, in fact many people will still claim it as one of the best CB antennas ever made. In 1986 came the updated Thunderpole III antenna.
1990-99
The Thunderpole Orbitor
In 1994 we introduced the best selling mobile CB antenna of all time - the THUNDERPOLE Orbitor. This is still very popular amongst lorry drivers, farmers and off-roaders and has been copied by many other manufacturers under different names.
2000-09
New Base AntennaS
At the turn of the millenium the Thunderpole 2000 antenna was introduced and became very popular, then followed then the Thunderpole 4 in 2004, both with a sturdy fibreglass construction and 1/2 wave design they instantly became hits amongst serious CB base station users.
2010-19
Our First CB Radio
In 2010 the Thunderpole 5 base antenna was introduced, which was a complete redesign, and had a wide bandwidth of 5 Mhz (with tuning), and this antenna is still going strong today. 2011 was an exciting year, as we used our extensive CB radio knowledge built up over 40 years to introduce our first Thunderpole CB radio... the Thunderpole T-1000, and it was an instant hit, outselling all other CB radios in our range! 2014 then saw the launch of the next radio in the range, the Thunderpole T-800, which offers clear reliable communication to everyone. We are now on the third variation of the T-800 which has built-in PA facility. We added the amazing Thunderpole T-2000 to our range in 2015, and ended the decade with another first of its kind, the Thunderpole T-3000 CB.
2020 present
CB RADIO IS BACK!
In 2021 we increased our T-Series range even further with the with the T-600, a mini CB with maximum performance. Then in 2023 we launched our first handheld CB radio, a next-generation portable called the Thunderpole T-X, introducing features such as USB-C charging, adaptable display layout and noise reduction, innovative features never seen in a handheld CB radio before. We are continuing to innovate in the CB world of CB radio and watch this space for new exciting products!
